Manchester Township is only responsible for the water & sewer lines in the street.
Homeowners are responsible from the street into your house. Homeowners in multiple units are responsible individually for breaks after the split, jointly for breaks between the street and the split.
Since our village is almost 50 years old these lines are aging. Leaks & breaks are becoming more frequent. We’ve heard of losses due to water line breaks costing $1,500 – $6,000+.
